Taylorsville, Miss., three-star linebacker Marcus Mayers proved he had plenty of determination and patience this weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder visited Mississippi State on Saturday and rode the bus up with Bassfield just to workout individually for the Bulldog coaching staff.
Mayers arrived in Starkville around 9 a.m. and toured the campus until 3 p.m. when his workout began. He also hung around afterwards as Bassfield made it all the way to the championship game of the small school 7-on-7 tournament.
