Johnson recaps visit to Starkville
Linebacker C.J. Johnson admitted that he felt "a little different" being back on Mississippi State's campus for the first time since he decommitted a few weeks ago.
The longtime Bulldog commitment reopened his recruitment after over a year when Manny Diaz left to take the defensive coordinator position at Texas. The 6-foot-3, 227-pounder has been a regular to the Starkville campus so things went the way he thought.
"Oh it went okay," Johnson said. "I kind of went how I expected it to."
During the visit Johnson got to sit down and meet with the Bulldogs new co-defensive coordinators Chris Wilson and Geoff Collins.
"It was pretty cool," Johnson said. "They were just going over the defense. It's going to change a little bit."
Johnson also had a meeting with head coach Dan Mullen before he departed back home to Philadelphia, Miss., on Sunday afternoon.
