Daniel details commitment
Oregon's coaches continue to search high and low to find the players that they want and that fit the system that they run. The recruiting class of 2012 has brought about several surprise commitments to those that follow recruiting closely. Eric and Stephen Amoako, Cody Carriger and most recently Terrence Daniel. Duck Sports Authority spoke with Daniel about his recruitment by Oregon and his decision to be a Duck.
"I gave coach Nick Alliotti a call Saturday night and we talked and then he gave the phone to coach Kelly and he was the one that offered me and I took it Sunday morning," Daniels said.
"I've always loved Oregon," he continued. "It's my favorite school and I just thought, what the heck, why not accept that offer and it happened the next day. I was pretty excited about the offer so I jumped right on it."
Daniel was also hearing from Oregon St., Washington, Cal Poly, Nevada, San Jose St. and UNLV. The 6-foot-6, 240 pounder is considered a sleeper by many because of his lack of offers but the Oregon coaching staff have been watching him for some time now.
