InsideTulsaSports.com Tulsa bounced back from a bad start to get back to .500 in Conference USA play.
The Golden Hurricane evened its conference record at 2-2 and its overall record at 9-9 with a 70-67 victory at East Carolina on Jan. 14. That came three days after the Golden Hurricane beat Texas-El Paso 59-48.
The back-to-back wins wiped out the bad taste of consecutive losses to Houston and Southern Methodist to begin Conference USA play.
"It was a great win for us, for a lot of reasons," Tulsa coach Doug Wojcik said after the win at East Carolina. "Any win is a good win, and this is a really hard place to play. It evens our record, evens us in conference and evens us on the road. I give our players a lot of credit. They've been through a tremendous amount. They've been incredibly resilient. I'm really proud of them."
