InsideTulsaSports.com Tulsa looks as if it is going to be a factor in the Conference USA race after all.
The Golden Hurricane lost its first two conference game following lackluster nonconference portion of the schedule. That left Tulsa with a 7-9 overall record.
However, Tulsa quickly turned things around and ran its winning streak to four games Jan. 21 with a 70-46 rout at Rice. In addition to being 11-9 overall, Tulsa also improved to 4-2 in the conference.
Though Tulsa was still in fifth place, it was only one game behind first-place Central Florida (5-1) and a half-game behind Marshall, Memphis and Southern Mississippi.
