EAST LANSING - Shilique Calhoun has people talking.

In 2011, as a true freshman, he was generating more buzz on the scout team than some of his 2-deep counterparts.

"He is as good a defensive end as we've seen around here, and I mean that," offensive coordinator Dan Roushar said last November after Calhoun received Scout Team Player of the Week honors for a team-high third time.
