Minnesota WR watches mailbox for ISU offer
Robbinsdale (Minn.) wide receiver David Gilreath is watching his mailbox for written offers these days. He knows it's one thing to be told an offer is forthcoming and it's another to have the paper in hand. Iowa State is among the regional schools with a keen interest in the Armstrong High School receiver. Here's an update.
The 5-foot-11, 168-pounder remains a strong lean to his home state school, Minnesota, which was the first to offer and did it in writing. He's expecting paperwork from two schools to the south of the Twin Cities as well.
"Iowa State and Iowa, they've both said I have offers," Gilreath said. "So they're verbal offers at this point, I guess. It was over the phone. I think pretty highly of any school that offers me. Minnesota has shown me the most love all along so I think they are the number one team for me."
