The Rebels aren't limiting their sights to local and area prospects; one national prospect that has scheduled a visit to Oxford is St. Louis (MO) Hazelwood Central's Chris Owens.

Owens is currently being recruited by Ole Miss, Iowa, Louisville, Missouri, Minnesota and Michigan State.
"The SEC is a great conference," Owens said. "Coach Freeze is doing a great job of recruiting me, makes me feel that I'm important to their program."
Owens has caught 15 receptions this fall for 325 yards and four touchdowns.
"I'm looking for a school that has a good overall program, good coaches and a place I can call home," Owens said. "I'm looking forward to my visit to Ole Miss."
Owens recently retook the ACT, but scored a 17 during his junior year of high school. He currently has a 2.8 G.P.A.
