Practice Report: Back to work

TideSports.com The Crimson Tide pulled out the pads again for Saturday's bowl practice and combined with the energy of a well-rested team it made for some cheer-inducing hits.
"We ended up yesterday's practice with a really sharp and crisp goal line scrimmage, one of the best drills we've had since bowl practice began," said interim head coach Joe Kines. "We had quite a few reps there and had some enthusiasm and the effort was tremendous on both sides of the ball."
"Then we came out today and did some two-minute work. We're trying to hit every situation and we've been pleased with how the guys have stayed focused."
One of those big-time hits in Saturday's practice was delivered by safety Rashad Johnson, returning to practice after missing the last several games of the season with an injury.
"He's got a knack for showing up where the ball is," Kines said.
