ASU always plays the Bruins tough. Generally speaking it's because UCLA is looking ahead to Arizona, or coming off a tough game against the Wildcats. ASU doesn't have a ton of firepower, but I don't expect this to be a blowout, namely because they slow it down and play each possession out, but also because of the point I mentioned.
-Look for James Keefe to get a bit more action tomorrow. The coaches have loved his work in practice, and this is one of the last opportunities all season to feel comfortable giving him a lot (for him) of floor time.
-Arron Afflalo has scored in double-digits in each game since the opener against BYU.
-Darren Collison, who shot 32% from three-point range last season as a freshman, and is leading the conference by a wide margin in that category this season at over 52% for the year, is 12-for-19 (63%) from beyond the arc in conference play, an astounding statistic.
-While the free throw shooting still could use some work, the team is up to 70% in conference play which places them 4th in the league.
