Arizona could never right ship

Looking back, it is difficult to say that Arizona's loss to Purdue was much of a surprise. The last couple of months, Arizona had problems that the team simply could not fix. Those issues seemed to really come out in the game against Purdue and the Boilermakers took full advantage.

The first and most obvious reason for Arizona's loss was Mustafa Shakur. Sure, there are other reasons for the loss, but when your starting point guard has eight turnovers, it is going to be quite difficult to win.

All a team with Arizona's talent really needs is a point guard than can hit the open shot, make a solid pass and run an offense. Unfortunately, it seemed that Shakur could do none of the three on Friday.
