As part of our continuing post-signing day coverage, Duck Sports Authority is contacting all of Oregon's class of 2007 signees in order to get to know them better. This is a series that will continue for the next few weeks. In this episode we meet up with wide receiver Rishard Matthews.

Recent statistics: For his senior season, Matthews was able to give us his approximate statistics. "I know I had over 1000 yards receiving and around twenty-something catches. I had 24 or 25 touchdowns. I got all-state and all-county, and I was league MVP overall."

Other schools offering scholarships: Matthews chose Oregon over offers from New Mexico State, Texas-El Paso and New Mexico and interest from Texas Tech and Illinois.

Rishard Matthews is relatively new to football compared to many of his future Duck classmates.
