Bulldog recruiting needs: Tight ends
Mississippi State has three tight ends on the roster that seem to have been there forever. They will all be gone after this fall, however, and the only remaining player on the roster is a redshirt freshman, waiting to experience SEC play for the first time this fall. State has already begun the reloading process with one commitment, but they are looking to find at least one more prospect for depth. BulldogBlitz.com takes a look at the TE situation.
Eric Butler comes in with the starting nod, and as the most productive member of the returners should have a big year, provided he can stay healthy - something that has been a problem throughout his Bulldog career. Jason Husband, who started out as a wide receiver, and Dezmond Sherrod, who has also spent time at the fullback slot, provide quality depth and experience.
