Green uses knowledge of quarterback to learn WR
Garrett Green always knows where he is supposed to be on the field. Finally, USC coaches say they do too.
"We found him a spot," coach Pete Carroll said of the sophomore, who switched to wide receiver last week.
Green came to USC as a quarterback, moved to safety last season and had returned to quarterback in preparation for 2007.
"He's caught all the balls he's had chances on, and he understands the offense very well - from a quarterback's perspective," Carroll said.
There were no long discussions. Carroll and offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian separately talked to Green about making the change, and Green, "didn't really have a problem or any hesitation," the sophomore said.
