Third-quarter flurry too much for Rebs at Auburn

RebelSports.net AUBURN, Ala. -- Ole Miss came to Auburn amid talk of a trip to the Capital One Bowl in Orlando or a return to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Any thoughts of New Year's Day vacations, however, were premature, to say the least. Halloween was more than the Rebels could handle. No. 24 Ole Miss lost the lead and its composure late in the second quarter Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn took care of the rest, pummeling the Rebels early in the third quarter and then holding off an Ole Miss rally for a 33-20 victory. Go inside for more.
