Golson weighing his options

Senquez Golson has already picked up offers from the big three in the state of Mississippi.

The six-foot, 180-pound cornerback out of Pascagoula has no intentions to rush into a decision and will let things play out before making a commitment.

"I've got the three instate schools still," Golson said. "Really no other schools besides Alabama because I'm talking to them right now. I really can't say who I'm leaning towards. I'm just going to weigh my options out to the end. I'm weighing the pros and cons of each school. If I had to pick a school tomorrow it would be State but I'm going to keep my options open right now."

Golson made the trip up to Starkville for Super Bulldog Weekend and took in both the spring football game and a baseball game while he was on campus.

"It was nice," Golson said. "I stayed the night and caught a baseball game. I got to talk to the cornerbacks coach a lot and that's one thing I wanted to do. It was pretty nice talking to my position coach. I talked to Coach (Dan) Mullen, Coach (Les) Koenning and Coach (Melvin) Smith. Coach Mullen was telling me they needed me and how critical it was for them to have me."

Golson also had the opportunity to watch his friend and fellow Pascagoula native Vick Ballard lead the maroon team in rushing and also to victory in the maroon-white game.
