Autry sees another side of State
Going to junior college an hour away from Starkville, four-star defensive end Denico Autry had visited Mississippi State several times over the last three years.
But this past weekend on his official visit the East Mississippi Community College standout was able to experience a new side of MSU on Egg Bowl weekend.
"It went pretty good actually," Autry said. "It's what I expected. I just hung out with the team and hung out with a lot of coaches. I got to see another side of Mississippi State I didn't get to see."
Autry was hosted by the Bulldog junior defensive tackle Josh Boyd on his visit. He watched from the stands as State handled instate rival Ole Miss 31-3 for the third consecutive season.
"It was a good rivalry," Autry said. "I was going to see what it was going to be like. I loved the atmosphere. I didn't know that small of a stadium could get so loud."
The 6-foot-6, 245-pounder has offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and USC. The Bulldogs, Crimson Tide and Volunteers are at the top of Autry's list.
