Coffeyville Community College (Kan.) Mark Beard is a marked man in 2012 class.
Several schools are looking for immediate help on the offensive line, and Beard is hearing from almost all of them.
Despite the recent attention, the Alabama native, who has three years of eligibility left, has narrowed it down to three schools.
"It is going to be Arkansas, Mississippi State, and Georgia for me," he said. "I'm visiting all three in a two-week period really.
Beard was in Arkansas for his first official visit, and came away impressed.
"I like their depth chart really," he said. "They lose both tackles so I have a chance to play there. They also have nice facilities."
He is also in Starkville for his official to Mississippi State this weekend, and the Bulldogs have made their mark as well.
"I like Mississippi State's depth chart too," he said. "Plus I like the coaching staff there as well."
Beard's final visit will come on Monday as he will drive from Starkville to Athens to visit UGA.
The Bulldogs, who are in dire need of offensive linemen, also have a little history on their side.
"Georgia has a good situation for me to come in and play as well," said Beard. "Also, growing up in the South, I followed them a lot growing up there. I was really glad to get an offer from Coach (Will) Friend. I've known him awhile."
When it comes to making a decision, the JUCO standout won't keep teams waiting.
"I'm going to make my decision right after the Georgia visit," said Beard. "I might do it right when I get back, or I might do it that day. It won't be a ceremony or anything. I'll just let the coaches know."
