Bell bound for official visit

Torrey Bell's magical senior season continues this weekend with his official visit to Mississippi State.

The three-star defensive end committed to the Bulldogs over the summer then led his high school team to an undefeated state championship.

"As a team we grew a lot," Bell said. "We were all big, fast and strong because we took the weight room way more seriously. It was just the way we played with our attitude and pride about us which I think helps. We all played as one. Personally I did very well. Last year I had nine sacks and I doubled that this year. I increased my tackles to 72 and 24 for loss so it was a great year."

Bell will visit Starkville along with 10 other MSU commitments but football is taking a backseat on his agenda. He wants to get an idea of what things will be like off the field after he enrolls.

"I'm expecting it to be a great weekend," Bell said. "I really just want to see what the college life is about, how the people are up there and what the classrooms are like - just all of the stuff outside of football that I'm going to be doing."

Earlier this week it was the Bulldogs coaches who were making the trip to River Ridge, La., to visit with Bell.
