Only a storm has stopped Wells

Brandon Wells and Bogue Chitto (Miss.) have been unstoppable so far this season. The Bobcats are undefeated and have outscored their opponents 68-0 with Wells playing a major role in their victories.

That was until this past Friday. It took Hurricane Isaac to stop Wells and his teammates but the Mississippi State commitment plans to go back to work this week.

"We didn't get to play our game this past week because of the hurricane," Wells said. "They pushed it back until October 5th. This week we've got Mount Olive. They are 0-2 this year but I'm not looking past anybody. They usually have a pretty good team so that's what I'm expecting Friday night."

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder has had to play multiple roles for the Class 1A school lining up at quarterback, wide receiver and in the secondary. He has rushed 16 times for 171 yards, hauled in three passes for 66 yards and a touchdown and also completed 1-of-3 passing for six yards.

On defense, Wells has recorded five tackles and returned one kickoff for 22 yards.
