Sooners Among SEC Elite for Rivals250 DT
Just a few weeks after putting together an impressive list of visitors for the Red River Rivalry, Oklahoma has put together quite possibly an equally impressive list for this Saturday's game against Notre Dame. In one of the bigger additions for the weekend, Rivals250 defensive tackle prospect Greg Gilmore's name was recently confirmed as a visitor.
The 6-foot-4 and 275-pound prospect out of Hope Mills (N.C.) South View has mentioned Oklahoma as a school that he likes throughout his recruitment but a visit didn't sound imminent. Once Gilmore started narrowing down his list of programs and eliminating them off his list, the Sooners started to climb up into his top five schools which led to him deciding to get out and give a look around Norman.
"I'm always trying to keep my options open and you need a top five schools regardless and they weren't really in my top five. Oklahoma was at six or seven and stuff happens and a lot of these schools like Clemson and Virginia Tech, USC and Alabama, you know I needed to knock some schools out. Just so happens that Oklahoma came up into the top five. You need a list to knock names out for your top five. Oklahoma slid in there and I did my research.
