As a three-star athlete for Miami Columbus High School, Jesus Wilson did a little bit of everything in his career.

Wilson played both sides of the ball, but ultimately knew his future was as offensive player with the ball in his hands.

"I just like getting the ball and making plays," Wilson said. "I also like defense too, but I just like making plays with the ball so that's why I wanted to play receiver and special teams."

At 5-foot-9, 182 pounds Wilson posses lightning fast speed. He currently is running track for Columbus, advancing to the 4A Regionals in both the 100 meter dash and the 200 meter dash. He said he is contemplating attempting to run track for FSU but is still uncertain.

One thing he is certain about is that he's eager to learn from FSU wideouts Kenny Shaw and Rashad Greene. The duo hosted Wilson on his official visit, and he admires the play-making abilities of both players, who like himself, are a big undersized.

"They're not big receivers, they're just quick," Wilson said. "Getting the ball, they make plays and that's what I'm looking to do when I go up."

Wilson is also anxious to work with quarterback Jameis Winston. Winston's dazzling spring game caught Wilson's eyes as he watched the replay.

"I was impressed with Jameis Winston," Wilson said. "He really impressed me. He can pass the ball… he got every receiver the ball. He looks like a good quarterback. He's mobile. He reminds me of Teddy Bridgewater."

Wilson said since the end of football season he has been able to put on 10 pounds doing exercises that strength and conditioning coach Vic Viloria sent down. He thinks he can an impact as a true freshman once he gets the playbook down.

"I've just got to learn the playbook a little bit and work hard," Wilson said. "I think I can be a big impact this year. I'm ready."
