Austin quarterback has A&M ties
Austin Westlake quarterback Preston Dewey has a rare connection with Texas A&M with his father having played for the Aggies in the 1970s. But living in Austin, the home of A&M's archrival Texas, has brought with it ups and downs when it comes to rooting interests.
Growing up in Austin with Aggie roots is not always easy, but it hasn't affected the junior quarterback. It has, however, brought more negatively charged comments his way when it comes to the maroon and white. But despite it all, Dewey still knows which of the two rivals he prefers.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound class of 2011 quarterback is gaining interest from Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Baylor and TCU.
