Hit the boards
1

After playing inferior teams in the opening two weeks or so of the season, Ole Miss steps up in competition this weekend in Brooklyn. The Rebels held North Carolina A&T to 25.5 percent shooting on Tuesday in Oxford, but the Aggies won the battle of the boards. Georgia Tech features much more height, brawn and skill inside than the Rebels have seen so far this season, so Ole Miss will have to get help on the boards from more than just Demarco Cox and Aaron Jones.
Be aggressive with or without Henderson
2

One couldn't help but think there was more to the story than Andy Kennedy wanting to force North Carolina A&T out of its box-and-one defense Tuesday, but Marshall Henderson didn't play in the final 15 minutes or so and the Rebels did get more aggressive when Henderson was on the bench. At some point, it stands to reason, the Rebels have to be just as aggressive when Henderson is on the floor. The tendency to stand and watch Henderson do his thing is something Ole Miss must overcome.
Extend the bench
3

Ole Miss got strong efforts off the bench from Ladarius White, Sebastian Saiz, Anthony Perez and Henderson the last couple of games. Now that the meat of the non-SEC schedule is upon them, the Rebels need even more assistance from its second unit. Cox and Summers got into some foul trouble Tuesday. It didn't matter against the Aggies. That won't be the case this weekend in Brooklyn. If foul trouble happens, someone on the bench has to be prepared to answer the call and give quality, productive minutes.

Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy on his team's preparedness for tougher competition:

"We did what we were supposed to do. We got through the first four unscathed. Now obviously the stakes get raised."
Mississippi Valley coach Chico Potts, after consecutive losses to Ole Miss and Georgia Tech in the past week:

"Well, one thing Ole Miss is going to do, they've got Marshall Henderson and he will definitely shoot the three, early and often. There's not a shot that he takes that he don't like. That's the type of team that they have. The post presence tonight? That was pretty good. I think you have one ball club that's strong on the perimeter in Ole Miss, versus a team on the interior in Georgia Tech. I think it's going to be a pretty good matchup and I think it's going to be a pretty exciting game to watch."

Ole Miss 73-71
