Ole Miss linebacker Chance Campbell played a big role in the Rebels' defense best performance of the year Saturday.

Campbell and the Rebels gave up an early touchdown, stopped the Tigers near the goal line on LSU's second possession and then played dominant defense the rest of the way en route to a 31-17 win at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Ole Miss, now 6-1 overall and 3-1 in the Southeastern Conference, travels to Auburn (5-2, 2-1) Saturday at 6 p.m. in a game between nationally ranked teams. The Rebels are ranked No. 10, while the Tigers are ranked No. 18. The game will be televised on ESPN.

Campbell talked about the win over LSU, the atmosphere in Oxford, the joy of causing turnovers and looked ahead to his first visit to the Plains Monday during his weekly conversation with RebelGrove.com publisher Neal McCready.

Campbell's weekly visit is sponsored by The Rogue.
