As the calendar approaches November, things are starting to feel 'normal' in the recruiting department at Ole Miss, at least in one aspect; visitors are now permitted on campus, both officially and unofficially. While several, several recruits visited unofficially, only one visited officially.

Oxbridge Academy (Fla.) three-star ATH Keidron Smith was the sole official visitor this weekend.

Smith caught up with RebelGrove.com moments after leaving campus on Monday morning.

"It was a great visit, I really enjoyed myself this weekend," Smith said about his time at Ole Miss.

Smith talked specifically about the coaching staff when asked about what really set his Ole Miss visit apart from the others.

"The love and attention the coaches gave me was awesome. I have the same amount of love for all of the staff, but for me, Coach (Wesley) McGriff really stands out. We talked about the tradition of the program, the University itself, and the history of it."

Smith, an early enrollee who will be signing in December, is now in wait and see mode until the news for Ole Miss comes out in the next several weeks.

"I can definitely see myself there, but I definitely want to find out what is going to happen to the program in terms of sanctions, and the coaches and I talked about that this weekend. Once that is known, there will be some clarity in terms of what's next."

What's next for Smith?

"I am planning on visiting Notre Dame, among some other schools, but nothing is finalized yet," he said about the next step in his recruitment.

Ole Miss is recruiting him as an athlete, and sees him playing either cornerback or safety.
