Four-star Ole Miss commit Willie Gay releases official visit list

Willie Gay has been committed to Ole Miss since June, and the Rebels are in line to get the four-star linebacker's final official visit.

The Starkville, Mississippi, native, who chose Ole Miss over Mississippi State, LSU, South Carolina and Michigan, announced his five official visits on Tuesday. The timing of the visits allows Gay to see the five schools and still enroll at the school of his choice in January, if he so chooses.

Gay also has offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia and many others.

Oct. 22: Illinois at Michigan

Oct. 29: Clemson at Florida State

Nov. 5: Texas A&M at Mississippi State

Nov. 12: South Carolina at Florida

Nov. 26: Mississippi State at Ole Miss

Starkville has home games against Murrah and Warren Central the nights before his scheduled trips to Ann Arbor and Tallahassee, respectively. A road date at Clinton is the night before the hometown MSU visit, and the final two dates are during the MHSAA 6A playoffs.

"What Ole Miss is getting in Willie Gay is a physical run-stuffer," Rivals.com analyst Rob Cassidy said. "He has great upper-body strength... and can also run downfield. He can cover running backs down the field."

Gay is set to play in the Army All-American Bowl in January.
