Freeze talks after Tuesday practice

Ole Miss practiced for approximately 90 minutes on Tuesday, as the Rebels are 5-3 and in the middle of their second bye week of the season.
Bo Wallace missed Tuesday's practice with pink eye, and Mike Marry, Charles Sawyer, Mike Hilton and Robert Nkemdiche didn't dress due to lingering injuries. Some of those will begin to return in the days ahead.

Here's the question-and-answer session with head coach Hugh Freeze following practice.
With Wallace out, Ryan Buchanan and Devante Kincade got most of the team snaps at quarterback.
We planned it regardless of who was out or not. This week you're going to see those two get a lot of reps. I think they both have some very positive things about them. Ryan's head is there and knows where things should go and when they should get out of his hand. He needs a year to get his arm strength better and get a quicker release. Devante is the opposite. He has a quick release and good arm strength, still picking up the timing of things and where they go. It's also a good thing to have both of them today.
What about the redshirts? Is this the week you watch them as well?
We're getting looks. In skeleton we got everybody reps. The only thing they didn't do is the last team period for some of the defense. On offense we got everybody in. We got good looks. We'll do that today and tomorrow. Thursday we'll hone in.
Anyone looking good specifically?
I'll have to watch the film for today, but I'm pleased with the overall progress. I know Paul (Jackson) is doing a great job with them. Their bodies are changing. They are gaining good mass and they look better. Jordan Wilkins looks well put together and looks the part. We're excited about those guys. We didn't redshirt many. They are having to play, but it's good to get them looks -- last week for those playing and this week for those that are redshirting.
How do you get Mark Dodson snaps in this crowded backfield?
It's hard to get them all what they want, but a guy that ran like he did the other night, he'll get some reps when we get pads back on and see how he does in practice. We'll try to get him a couple carries and see what we think about him in game situations and certain packages.
Had he been coming on before last Saturday?
It's hard to tell. You can't see it out here because you're trying to get Jeff (Scott) and Jaylen (Walton) and I'Tavius (Mathers) most of the reps to get them prepared. It's hard to see. We thought Mark was good in fall camp and then he had a little setback and injury. He had good spring ball and had an injury, too. Hopefully they are all getting healthy now and you can see what they all can be.
On Monday, Bo talked about a chemistry with Ja-Mes Logan. Are you seeing that?
Ja-Mes is a senior that has played a lot of snaps and understands and feels coverages really well. He catches it in tight spots which makes a quarterback feel good. You feel like you can trust him to protect you from the tight coverage.
How did Serderius Bryant do coming off the concussion?
Good for the snaps, but he sprained his elbow a little bit so we held him out after that. He's fine. Running around out here today.
How big of a selling point is the tempo offense to recruits?
It attracts some prospects, but I don't think it's a big selling point for some kids, not the main thing. For some kids, yes. It meant something to Quincy (Adeboyejo) when we were recruiting him, and I think it meant something to Laquon (Treadwell). I don't know if it means anything to O-linemen or running backs. It's wide receivers and athletic tight ends who don't want to just put their hands in the dirt and block. It speaks to them.
