Fast Five: Prospects who increased their stocks this weekend

Ole Miss hosted prospects from all over the region throughout the weekend. While the list of actual attendees is not what it was expected to be, the coaching staff had the chance to evaluate those who did come, and that resulted in a few offers, one which could soon lead to a commitment. Here are five who increased their profiles the most this weekend.

WHAT HE DID: From the moment Williams got off the bus on Saturday morning, the intensity he brought both on and off the field was impossible to miss. Prior to the separation of the offensive and defensive lines, his work in various drills had members of the staff excited to see what he would do. He didn't disappoint. Williams will visit LSU and Alabama later this month and plans to announce by October.

WHAT HE DID: To be a four-star a year ahead of the current class (2019) regardless of position/ location etc., you have to be special in multiple facets of the game. Every time I saw Turnage play this weekend, he had that. While he didn't camp on Friday, During Saturday's 7-on-7 tournament he was all over the field. From playing quarterback to playing corner and receiver, Turnage carried his team on both sides of the ball. He is a name everyone in the country will know by the time it's all said and done.

WHAT HE DID: Jefferson may be a 2019 quarterback, but with the accelerated recruiting process beginning for recruits in his class, he could potentially be taking official visits beginning next spring. He already has offers from Austin Peay and Jackson State, and offensive coordinator Phil Longo seemed impressed with him during his performance. I could count the number of throws Jefferson missed on one hand, and the arm strength here is something to keep an eye on.

WHAT HE DID: Howard came into his visit in Oxford this weekend with one goal: obtain an Ole Miss offer. On Friday night, he was able to do that, putting on a show among the group of running backs on campus. The offer completely shifted his recruitment, as he was thought to be a Mississippi State lean before, and did not make it out to Starkville yesterday. He likely commits to Ole Miss before the end of the summer.

WHAT HE DID: Clark camped on Friday and Saturday and impressed the staff both times. Clark rarely got beat in one-on-ones, and it appeared that his footwork had improved significantly since the end of last season. With early offers from Austin Peay and Tennessee State, Clark has the chance to see his offer list grow significantly if he is able to continue improving between now and next February.
