Several prospects have put Ole Miss in their final lists, but the Rebels have come up short so far in their pursuit of a 2017 quarterback.

Ole Miss handed out a couple new quarterback offers on Thursday, putting its name in the mix for two players currently committed to other Southeastern Conference Schools.

The Rebels offered four-star Kentucky commit Mac Jones and Arkansas three-star Daulton Hyatt.

Jones, who has close to 20 offers and now has four SEC options, is a 6-foot-3, 180-pounder from Jacksonville (Bolles), Florida. He visited Ole Miss last summer and committed to Kentucky in July 2015.

"(Ole Miss is) innovative," Jones said. "All the facilities are close, and the Grove is unbeatable. College Gameday at Mississippi is something people don't get to experience often. The winning atmosphere makes playing at Ole Miss more fun."

The SEC offers are Ole Miss, Kentucky, Texas A&M and Alabama.

Jones said he knows a lot about Ole Miss and has close friends who are students at the school.

He was recently named the MVP of the Rivals Camp Series Quarterback Challenge in Baltimore, Maryland.

Hyatt, a native of Attalla, Alabama, has 17 offers including SEC offers from Ole Miss, Arkansas, Vanderbilt and Missouri.

The 6-foot-3, 178-pounder committed to the Razorbacks in late March and said at the time he's done visiting other schools.

Ole Miss' current scholarship quarterback depth chart is senior Chad Kelly, redshirt freshman Jason Pellerin and true freshman Shea Patterson.

Kelly, who led Ole Miss to a 10-3 record and a Sugar Bowl victory, had 4,542 total yards, which are the third-most in SEC history.

Patterson was the No. 1 quarterback nationally in the 2016 class and No. 3 overall prospect. He was named MVP of the Army Bowl and enrolled at Ole Miss in January.

The Rebels were recent finalists for Rivals100 quarterbacks Tristan Gebbia and Tua Tagovailoa, but the two prospects chose Nebraska and Alabama, respectively.
