Rivals250 RB Pennamon close to final decision

D'Vaughn Pennamon has been committed to Ole Miss since July, but the firmness of that decision has been debatable in recent weeks.

Alabama and Texas A&M have the Rivals250 running back considering both those schools, as well as the Rebels, with only three days remaining until National Signing Day.

Pennamon, who visited Ole Miss this weekend, said he’ll make a final decision on Sunday night or Monday morning and announce it on his personal Twitter account.

“I have to go home and speak with my parents and we’re going to go home and figure this thing out.”

He said all three SEC schools are still in play. Pennamon said he talked with Texas A&M multiple times while in Oxford on his visit.

“We talked a couple times when I had free time,” Pennamon said.

The Manvel, Texas, prospect’s Ole Miss visit was up in the air last week before it solidified right before he made the trip. Pennamon visited Alabama last weekend.

“I’ve been committed here for a while, and I love everything about Oxford,” Pennamon said. “This one is the best (visit). They say don’t take a visit to oxford, and it’s crazy. I loved it. I spent time with Chad Jarrion (Street), the other commit. We spent a lot of time together this weekend.”

Pennamon was asked if he felt better or worse about Ole Miss compared to before the trip. He said he’s “neutral” and “don’t feel any different.”

All three schools are telling him he can play early.
