Serrel Smith requests release following Andy Kennedy's departure
Following the end of his high school basketball career, Ole Miss signee Serrel Smith of St. Petersburg (Fla.) has chosen to request his release.
In his tweet, Smith mentioned Andy Kennedy's departure from the program as a major reason in his decision.
Once his release becomes official, Ole Miss will be left with three remaining commitments in the class of 2018.

Smith is expected to be in high-demand once his release becomes official, as several major programs had been reaching out behind the scenes since news of Kennedy's departure was made public.
