Super Rebs: Ole Miss sweeps Oxford Regional with rout of UNC

Ole Miss erased a two-run deficit with two RBI singles in the fourth inning and Brittany Finney put the Rebels ahead of No. 3 seed North Carolina for good with a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

An inning later the Rebels tacked on three more for insurance that weren't needed, as the season of firsts picked up another scalp with the 7-2 win over the Tar Heels to sweep the Oxford Regional.

No. 12 seed Ole Miss (43-18) travels to No. 5 seed UCLA for the super regional round if the Bruins beat Cal State Fullerton in one of two chances later Sunday. The SEC Tournament champions are 7-0 this postseason and are two wins away from the Women's College World Series.

Kaitlin Lee threw yet another complete game, as the junior star of the postseason held UNC to one hit after giving up the second run. Today's win also set a school record for postseason victories in a year. Last season, Ole Miss went 2-2 in the Norman (Okla.) Regional during its first-ever NCAA appearance.

Lee has thrown 11 straight complete games, also a school record.
