UK commitment may visit Ole Miss

Kentucky is on track to get a visit from Ole Miss commitment Gavin Hardin, and the Rebels may be in line to re-pay the favor with a visit from Mobile, Ala. defensive lineman Willie Bohannon, a current Kentucky commitment.
Bohannon, a 6-foot-3, 230 pound defensive end who played at Blount High School in Mobile committed to Kentucky on Dec. 22.

"I talked to coach (Kim) Dameron today," Bohannon said Thursday night. "He's trying to set me up for a visit."
"Right now, the only visit I plan on taking is to Tennessee, they called me today too," he said. "I don't have a visit set up to Ole Miss yet because they haven't offered me. If they offer, I'll visit, if they don't, I won't."
Tennessee is also yet to offer, although Bohannon said he will likely visit there even if the Vols don't offer.
Bohannon currently has offers from Kentucky, Alabama and Louisiana-Lafayette and interest from a host of other schools including Clemson and Auburn. He was also being recruited by Arkansas, but hasn't heard from the new staff in Fayetteville.
Bohannon said he was lightly recruited by Ole Miss last summer but wasn't able to attend camp in Oxford and the staff "kind of backed off."
Bohannon recently played in the Mississippi - Alabama all-star classic and received honorable mention for seeing his stock rise and was elevated to a three-star prospect.
He finished with four tackles in the game including one for a loss. He feels the coaches who see the tape of that game will likely be impressed.
"I'm really good mentally preparing for the game," Bohannon said. "I know a lot of ways to get off blocks and get to the quarterback. My strength at defensive end is rushing the passer. My coaches have taught me a lot of techniques."
While Bohannon is still looking, Kentucky has been recruiting him since last spring when they first offered him.
"A lot of schools are showing interest," he said. "I hear from Louisville a lot. Florida is gaining new interest in me since I went to their camp."
Pressuring the quarterback is Bohannon's speciality. In his last three years at Blount, he has recorded 42 sacks. In 11 games as a senior, he had 73 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and nine sacks.
Hardin, currently committed to Ole Miss, is scheduled to visit Kentucky next weekend.
