Back in July, Miles Battle took a trip to Ole Miss to camp and spend time with the coaching staff, most notably WR coach Jacob Peeler.

Following Hugh Freeze's departure and the uncertainty around the Ole Miss program at the time, Battle committed to Oregon, and head coach Willie Taggart at the time.

Fast forward to February 5th. Taggart is now at Florida State, and Miles Battle has committed to Ole Miss after backing away from his commitment when it became public that Taggart had a wandering eye.

Battle is the third four-star WR to commit to Ole Miss in this class, and the first commitment for Ole Miss in the state of Texas for the class of 2018.

Battle specifically mentioned a recent signee who he thought would play a factor in his decision.
