1. Several weeks ago, we contemplated writing about the likelihood that Leo Lewis’ immunity interview would result in allegations against Ole Miss when the university receives its amended notice of allegations from the NCAA.

We didn’t write it, in part because of the public relations beating we would have received and mostly because we just didn’t feel like we had all the loose ends to the story secured. Had we written in early January, some of the minutiae would have been incorrect, at least in part.

National Signing Day has come and gone, and any chance our reporting would be used unfairly against the program has dissipated now. A high-ranking university official, as of midweek last week, said he did not know when the amended NOA was coming, though he indicated he expected it fairly soon, as in within the next month or so.
