Memphis (Ridgeway HS) cornerback Kyron Tucker is hoping a couple of things are going to improve his stock just over a month before National Signing Day.

"It took me some time, longer that I wanted, but I finally got my (senior season) highlight DVD together and I'm sending it out to a bunch of schools this week," Tucker said on Monday. "The other big news that might help me is that I got my results back on my second ACT and I made a 19. I think that may have been holding me back some too."
The score of 19 on his ACT represents a jump from his first score of 16, and Tucker said most colleges have been telling him the same thing.
"All of them say they want to see my senior highlights and evaluate that," Tucker said.
That's includes Ole Miss recruiting coordinator Chris Vaughn, who coaches cornerbacks for the Rebels.
"I called Coach Vaughn pretty recently," Tucker said. "He said he's seen me (at Ole Miss summer camp), but now he wants to see me in pads. I want to have that highlight film on his desk when he gets back from the Cotton Bowl."
Tucker, a 6-foot, 162 pound cornerback prospect who is currently rated two-stars by Rivals.com, has an offer from Memphis and a couple of in-state FCS (Division I-AA) schools, and also is receiving interest from the likes of Cincinnati, Texas Tech, and Iowa.
He said despite the coaching change at Memphis, his offer is still intact.
"I haven't been over to meet with Coach (Larry) Porter, but my (high school) coach went over and he said that I'm still on their board," Tucker said. "I guess that could change in the future with the new coaches, but for now, I'm good."
Meanwhile, Tucker hopes Ole Miss is impressed with his highlight film and begins to show interest.
"I really love Ole Miss," he said in a previous interview. "I've always loved Ole Miss and would love to play there.
However, for Ole Miss to become more interested, it's likely a couple of cornerbacks believed to be higher on their hot board would have to become unavailable. That includes four-star junior college cornerback Dequan Menzie and three-star Florida athlete Tony Grimes, who has Ole Miss in his top three and is scheduled to take an official visit next month.
Tucker missed five games during his senior season due to an injury, but still recorded 35 tackles, had 15 pass deflections and had 13 passes defended. He claims to have allowed only two touchdown catches during his entire career at Ridgeway.
Tucker participated in the TNVarsity.com combine held in Memphis at Whitehaven High last April and had a combine best 37.2 vertical jump, the best Shuttle time of 4.34 and the best SPARQ rating at the event with an 84.45.
In addition to his new score of 19 on the ACT, he reports a 2.9 GPA, which he expects to go up after his fall semester grades are factored into his overall GPA.
