Missouri RB would like to hear from Ole Miss
When it comes to recruiting, schools most frequently stimulate a prospect's interest with letters and other correspondence, signaling the school is interested. But when it comes to Ole Miss and Missouri running back Brandon Bourbon he's not shy about letting the Rebels know he's the one who's interested.
Bourbon, a 6-foot-2, 205 pound prospect with an impressive 4.4 forty yard dash, said on Tuesday that all the Rebels have to do is show some interest.

"I would love to check out Ole Miss," Bourbon said. "I wouldn't mind playing in the SEC at all. If they're interested, I'll definitely check them out."
While he likes the SEC and the Rebels, Bourbon isn't exactly in a position where he's begging from offers.
He's got a wide range of offers - ranging from Harvard to his home state Missouri Tigers. Offers have also been extended by BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, Stanford and Vanderbilt and he expects an Iowa State offer to arrive this week.
Bourbon ran for more than 2,400 yards and almost 30 touchdowns last fall as a junior for his Potosi (Potosi R3), Mo. team.
He said that while he prefers to play running back in college, he would welcome an opportunity to play an H-back receiver role similar to the way Houston Nutt used Peyton Hillis at Arkansas before Nutt moved to Ole Miss.
Bourbon apparently has had his interest tweaked about Ole Miss by two sources - one a good season by the Rebels last year and two, by a book.
"I just got finished reading Meat Market," Bourbon said of the Bruce Feldman book that was based on former Rebel head coach Ed Orgeron's 2007 recruiting class. "I really liked the book and what it had to say about Ole Miss and I know they had a pretty good team last year."
Interestingly, when interviewed for this story, Bourbon was on his way back from Tennessee where he had attended the Volunteers' summer camp and got to see the book's main character in person.
"I went up, but wasn't able to physically participate because of a track injury," Bourbon said. "So, I didn't get a lot of attention. But I did get to see coach Orgeron but we didn't talk much, he was kind of busy.
Despite being a relatively hot prospect, Bourbon said he's still open when it comes to recruiting.
"I'm kind of waiting to see who delivers when it comes to scholarship offers," Bourbon said. "I'm not where I'm favoring one school that has offered over one that hasn't."
Bourbon said he doesn't have any particular reason for considering the deep south as a possible destination.
"I do have an aunt who lives in Arkansas and one who lives in Tennessee, so I do have some connections down that way," he said. "I'd love to just check out Ole Miss."
