BATON ROUGE, La -- Later this morning it will be known whether or not Ed Orgeron has pulled the biggest recruiting coup of 2006.
Around 9:00 am it will be known where Keiland Williams will attend college.
Williams will decide between Ole Miss, LSU and USC at that time in the library of Northside High School in Lafayette, La.
Should Williams, who is rated five-stars by Rivals.com and ranked as the No. 5 overall prep school prospect, decide on Ole Miss it would news on the scale of Brent Schaeffer's recent commitment to the Rebels.
For Williams to leave Louisiana after growing up just an hour west of LSU and Baton Rouge would send shockwaves through the college football world and cement Orgeron's reputation as an ace recruiter.
So will it happen? Will Williams spurn the home state Bengal Tigers and commit to Ole Miss or USC?
That's unclear as sources have Williams' decision literally all over the map. According to some Williams' has committed to Ole Miss, other sources have Williams a lock to LSU while there is still some discussion that Williams still hasn't made a decision.
Several factors are working in favor for a number of schools.
Each school offers Williams the chance to step in and start immediately.
USC loses Lendale White and Reggie Bush. LSU loses Joseph Addai and Alley Broussard is battling back from injury while Ole Miss will undergo a scheme change under new offensive coordinator Dan Werner.
There are other factors working in favor of each school. USC offers the allure of Los Angeles while LSU guarantees that Williams will be hailed as a hero for staying home to play. Ole Miss will have two of Williams' Hargrave teammates and best friends on the roster next year in John Jerry and Jerrell Powe.
Williams visited LSU officially this weekend and will make the announcement before traveling back to Virginia and class at Hargrave.
