Tony Fein has inked with the Seattle Seahawks, Maurice Miller with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Ashlee Palmer with the Buffalo Bills, while Jason Cook has agreed to sign with the Baltimore Ravens.
Hailing from Port Orchard, Wash., Fein saw action in 24 games and drew five starts at Mike linebacker in his two seasons in Oxford. A transfer from Scottsdale (Ariz.) C.C., Fein ranked among the Rebels' top three tacklers in each of his two campaigns and posted four double-digit tackle performances.
A native of West Helena, Ark., Miller played in 36 of the Rebels' 37 games over the past three years, starting 30 at either right tackle or right guard. He was a key figure in one of the top offensive lines in the SEC last year, helping Ole Miss rank second in the conference in rushing yards per game (186.5) and fourth in sacks allowed per game (1.54).
Palmer topped the Rebels in tackles as a junior in 2007 and concluded his two-year tenure at Ole Miss with 139 stops. He was also credited with 12 TFLs and 11 passes defended. A transfer from his hometown Compton (Calif.) C.C., Palmer started 22 games at outside linebacker, missing the start in only three games in his career.
Cook plans to join the Ravens, who also selected Michael Oher with the 23rd overall pick of this year's draft. A fullback from Suwanee, Ga., Cook started 27 games over his four-year career in the Red and Blue and totaled 21 receptions for 184 yards. The 2008 Team Captain was also stellar off the field, having been named to the AFCA and SEC Good Works Teams and the SEC Academic Honor Roll twice.
Oher and Peria Jerry (Atlanta) became the first tandem in Ole Miss history to be first-round NFL draft picks in the same year. Mike Wallace was chosen in the third round by Pittsburgh and Jamarca Sanford in the seventh round by Minnesota, giving the Rebels four selections in one draft for the first time since 2004.
